Lauren Anne White and Blakeley Meachelle Nelson Death and Obituary, Victims Identified in Hoover Double Homicide; Suspect Arrested and Charged

An arrest has been made in a double homicide that occurred on October 1, 2022 at a residence in the 100 building at The Park at Hoover apartment complex.

At 7:52 A.M., the Hoover 911 center received a call from an individual who stated they discovered two people possibly deceased inside a residence.

Officers responded and found two female victims that appeared to have been shot. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Hoover Fire-medics.

Detectives began an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this case and believe the victims were specifically targeted.

The victims have been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office as Lauren Anne White, 39 years old, of Hoover, Alabama, and Blakeley Meachelle Nelson, 24 years old, of Hoover, Alabama.

Detectives were quickly able to develop a suspect who was determined to be an acquaintance of both victims. Hoover detectives took him into custody in the 9300 block of Highway 119 in Alabaster at approximately 3:30 PM on October 1st.

He is currently being held in the Hoover City Jail and will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail later today. The investigation into this case remains ongoing.
