Mount Tahoma High School – After a student reported seeing a gun, Mount Tahoma High School was evacuated and locked down

Mount Tahoma High School  – On Wednesday, Mount Tahoma High School went into lockdown mode after it was reported that a student was seen with a firearm while they were using the restroom. Officers from the Tacoma Police Department stated they searched the school but did not locate any firearms. The Tacoma Police Department stated in a tweet that the school’s fire alarm was also pulled. According to the police, there have been no reports of anyone being harmed nor have any shots been fired.

Apparently, as of approximately 12:55 p.m., the school was still on a modified lockdown, as stated in the tweet. During the lockdown, pupils would not be allowed to leave, according to the police. There were a number of officers present at the scene.
