NRHA Million Dollar Sire Rowdy Yankee has sadly passed away

Rowdy Yankee Death – We regret to inform you of the demise of Rowdy Yankee, another Great One. In his own reining career, Rowdy earned $97,381; $86,441 of that was with Keith Crawford. He was a million-dollar sire. Crawford and the stallion won the 1997 Tradition and North Central RHA futurities as well as the National Reining Horse Association Futurity Non-Pro Championship. The National Reining Breeders Classic, the Gordyville Breeder’s Cup, and the Florida Reining Classic Non-Pro Championships were all won by the duo the next year. At the Reining By The Bay in 1999, they won both the Open and Non-Pro Championships. Shawn Flarida assumed control of Rowdy Yankee in 2006 and added his open profits.
Rowdy was 29. Frozen semen will continue to be available through Oswood Stallion Station.
