Urashi Madani Death, 2 killed as rideshare vehicle rear-ended near Zakim Bridge in Boston

Delanie Fekert and Urashi Madani Death, Obituary – According to the Massachusetts State Police, two women are dead after their ride-sharing vehicle was hit from behind by a tow truck close to Boston’s Zakim Bridge. According to state police, the collision occurred on Interstate 93 north between Exits 19 and 20. The rideshare car, a 2007 Lexus RX400H SUV, slowed down for an unknown reason, according to state police, and was hit from behind by a Kenworth tow truck. Behind the tow truck, a third vehicle—a 2012 Honda Civic sedan—hit the truck at an angle.

The ridesharing car trapped the two women who were seated in the rear of the Lexus at the time of the collision, and they were declared dead at the site. The women were identified by state police as Delanie Fekert, 25, of Floral Park, New York, and Urashi Madani, 25, of North Andover. A 53-year-old Revere man who was the ridesharing driver was taken with significant injuries to Massachusetts General Hospital.

According to state police, neither the tow truck’s driver, a woman from Salem, nor the Honda’s driver, a Manchester, New Hampshire, resident, appeared to be hurt during the collision. Numerous state police departments are still looking into the collision to see if there are any grounds for criminal charges. According to state police, I-93 had lane restrictions until just before 1:45 a.m. on Sunday.
